# Projects – Learning Planet Institute

> Projects is a SaaS platform developed by the Learning Planet Institute (a UNESCO Category II centre) to support project-based learning at scale and to animate research and R&D communities in higher education and beyond.

Projects enables universities, business and engineering schools, and research organisations to:
- deploy project-based pedagogy for cohorts ranging from a few dozen to tens of thousands of learners,
- map and connect researchers, teams and labs across initiatives and consortia,
- surface people, projects, skills and scientific outputs through advanced search and AI recommendations.

The platform includes:
- a project and profile database with rich metadata (skills, themes, SDGs, organisations),
- a conversational AI assistant to search projects, people and teams in natural language,
- automatic translation of project and profile content into major world languages,
- automatic harvesting of researchers’ publications from external sources, to create unified research profiles,
- community features (announcements, events, calls, chat, notifications) to support pedagogical programs and research / R&D ecosystems.
